While I can’t speak for the one-day tour, I did have the pleasure of spending 5 days with Mia in the Yangshuo, Xingping, and Huangyao areas. She and Andy were both very helpful in planning our custom trip. They considered everything–our photography wishlist, vegetarian diet (tricky in China), budget, and athletic abilities (or lack thereof).
Once we arrived, Mia was the perfect hostess. She was very well-prepared with things like umbrellas or extra tissues, and was able to adapt plans to the weather as needed. She took us to terrific photo spots we would never have found on our own. Mia’s ability to charm random people on the street helped us get some lovely portraits. She was a pleasant, informative travel companion, as well. I can’t imagine a better way to see rural China.
